The Salvation Army, an international movement, is motivated by the love of God to meet human needs without discrimination. The Tonawanda, NY corps provides material and social support assistance to many low and fixed-income families and individuals in the form of food, rent, utilities, clothing, household items or counseling. To seniors, we provide a nutritional lunch meal five days a week, breakfast, special activities, and free chiropractic services. To youth we provide character development programs through our after school activities, games, recreation, nutritional meals and Summer camp programs. For many people in need in our area, The Salvation Army Tonawanda Corps community center is a resource for help, social services, meetings, fellowship, education and worship all year round. All our programs are funded through public donation by mail appeal, internet gifts, Christmas Kettles, memorial gifts, etc. All donations, large and small, make a difference in the lives of our neighbors.
