The Salvation Army of Canandaigua serves Ontario County communities within zip codes 14424, 14425, 14469, 14471, 14504, 14512, 14532, 14548, and 14585 through a myriad of programs and services designed to meet human needs. Our SAFE (Salvation Army Family Emergency) Crisis Intervention Program provides emergency assistance for families and individuals in need and/or in crisis, including such items as food assistance, prescription assistance, emergency shelter, utilities, and clothing assistance. Our Phoenix Youth Services offer the most affordable afterschool and summer day camp programs in Canandaigua, providing academic assistance, nutritious meals and snacks, and gives children a safe and healthy environment to learn, play, and socialize. The Golden Spot program provides opportunities for seniors to foster a sense of community and contributes to the development of our elderly population. This helps reduce isolation, encourages physical activity, and helps reduce premature institutionalization.
