The Salvation Army provides a variety of programs and services that strive to meet human needs in Lima and Allen County, Ohio. Services include Emergency Assistance, help with food, rent, and utilities. Afterschool programming for students K -12th grade provides recreation, social, and educational programs. A hot meal is also served daily. Student Food Pantry available Monday through Friday while school is in session helps relieve hunger insecurities. Sunday Nigh Feeding Program & Fellowship provides a hot meal every Sunday evening top those in the community. Summer Day Camp provides fun recreational and craft activities. Back to School Celebration, a collaborative effort with Lima City Schools provides the needed school supplies to start the new year. Christmas Assistance and Coat Give-a-way provides those in need with toys, food, and clothing to more than 700 families annually. Finally, The Salvation Army is always ready to mobilize and help when disaster strikes.
