Emergency Disaster Services/Hotel Motel Assistance: Due to Fire, Loss Of Job, Eviction, Natural Disaster: Essential services include an emergency Food Pantry and Energy Assistance . Our pantry serves parts of Schuylkill county & Carbon County. Energy assistance may be available for households facing shut off or are already disconnected.

Youth group: The Salvation Army in Tamaqua: Includes multiple youth groups, which primarily consist of its Sunday schools and youth groups. Groups specifically for females are known as Girl Guards (older females) and Sunbeams/moonbeams (younger females). Adventure Corps/Explorers and Rangers serves boys who are enrolled in school form first through eighth grade Teen Group 12-19 years of age.
Youth Groups The Salvation Army's Youth Ministry are groups designed for young Children and young adults ranging from the ages of 6-19 is a Christian group; however, one does not have to be Christian to attend its functions. Youth programs are designed to reach the "un-churched," the unbeliever, and to train and equip the believer in Christ, all at the same time. Youth Group is a positive alternative to the street way of life for our young kids of today, where they can have fun, play games, develop healthy relationships, and most of all receive answers to a lot of life's most complicated questions and about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Open Gym: The Tamaqua Salvation Army is Open from 6-8PM Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays for Basketball for Men and Women each Week.
Music Programs The primary purpose of all Salvation Army music program is to serve as an instrument to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Men And Women’s Fellowship The Tamaqua Salvation Army's Home League is a fellowship group designed to influence women in the creation and development of Christian standards in personal home life involving fourfold aims of worship, fellowship, education and service. The Men's Fellowship provides an opportunity for Christian men to gather and support each other as they live a Christian life inspired by the teachings of the Bible and the life of Jesus Christ. Both groups meet every Tuesday evening at 5 p.m. at the Tamaqua Salvation Army.
Sunday school and Worship Service for all ages, Worship Service 11:00 are with Nursery provided for children up to age 5 years and Children's Church for children ages Sunday School 12:30; 6-12 * Vacation Bible School held annually in August.
