The Salvation Army Brooklyn Brownsville Corps Helping Hand Grant is awarded to students graduating from high school in the Brownsville/East New York community. The Helping Hand Grant is a one-time grant award presented upon proof of enrollment to a college, university, community college, technical or trade school. The Helping Hand Grant award is based upon personal achievements, character, social awareness, volunteer efforts, and career goals. Each applicant must provide a completed application, and supporting recommendations.
